Meet Carmine, Your CSM - Driving Instructor

I qualified as a Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency, Approved Driving Instructor (DVSA ADI) in 2006, passing all three challenging qualifying exams at my first attempt.  Once qualified, I worked under the BSM franchise to build my reputation in the Barnet, Enfield, North London and Hertfordshire areas.  After a few years at BSM, I used my passion for teaching people to drive to setup my own driving school.

CSM - Driving School was formed in 2008.  Working independently helps me to focus more on my clients needs and guarantee quality tuition and value for money.

I’m a strong believer of Continual Professional Development (CPD) and this shows as I continue to improve my teaching skills with additional qualifications which are well respected within the driver training industry.  These include, becoming a DVSA Fleet Trainer and achieving a NVQ Level 3 in Driving Instruction award.  I am also a full member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAMS) after successfully passing their advanced driving assessment.

As well as running my own driving school, I also contract my services out to other well known national driver training companies.  One of which is Admiral Young Driver.

Admiral Young Driver Scheme has a venue at Brent Cross shopping centre, where children aged between 10 and 17 can learn to drive in a safe environment (off road) on a course which is specifically designed to develop basic car control skills.

My role at Admiral Young Driver as a senior trainer and team manager means I get the opportunity to network with other like minded instructors, which I find of great benefit and very enjoyable!.

I was recently selected to teach X Factor contestant Nicholas McDonald on behalf of Admiral Young Driver.  This was aired nationally on ITV in November 2013.  I have also taught the Rizzle Kicks for Blue Peter and Radio 1.  This was aired on BBC One in May 2012.

I’ve also appeared on the BBC and Sky News speaking about the importance of quality driver training and how learning to drive at a younger age can help create safer drivers for the future.

As well as teaching people to drive, I have also worked with car manufacturers to launch new vehicles and give demonstrations on their special features.  This means I am constantly keeping up to date with new technologies which are becoming a new part of the driving experience.

My combined passion for cars and training clients to drive has resulted in a successful career in the driver training industry.  I have worked with clients of different ages and from different backgrounds and enjoy meeting new people.  Helping clients develop their driving skills is what I find the most rewarding, regardless of their driving standard.
